In a multicenter prospective study, Corsale, Carrieri, Martellucci, et al., (2018) evaluated a flavonoid mixture (diosmin, troxerutin, rutin, hesperidin, quercetin) 2 of the main products found in CircuZyme. They found the flavonoid mixture reduced hemorrhoidal bleeding on 154 patients and found this mixture safe and effective to manage bleeding from hemorrhoidal disease with minimal adverse events.
Hesperidin is a flavone glycoside found in citrus fruit such as lemons and sweet oranges. The pharmacological activities of Hesperidin include anti-atherogenic, antihyperlipidemic, antidiabetic, venotonic, cardioprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antihypertensive actions [1]. Haggaga, Y., El-Ashmawyb, N., Okasha, K. explored the anti-viral properties of Hesperidin as a potential prophalactic to support against viruses, including Covid-19.
